Brokerage calculator: rent and resale deals
Rental brokerage in NCR is quoted in days of rent (15 days to one month from each side); resale brokerage as a percentage (1% from buyer and 1% from seller is the norm, 2% for the broker who does both). GST at 18% applies when the broker's turnover crosses the registration threshold.

How it is calculated
Rental: brokerage = monthly rent × days ÷ 30 per paying side. Sale: brokerage = price × % per side. GST of 18% is added on top if the broker is registered (mandatory above ₹20 lakh annual turnover). Referral share reduces the broker's net, not what the client pays.
Worked example
₹18,000 rental with one month from each side: ₹18,000 per side, ₹36,000 gross; with GST each side pays ₹21,240. A ₹60 lakh resale at 1% per side: ₹60,000 from each, ₹1.2 lakh gross; a 20% referral share leaves ₹96,000.
Frequently asked questions
What is the standard brokerage in Noida for rent?
15 days to one month of rent from the tenant, often matched by the owner; half a month each side is common in high-supply societies.

1% from the buyer and 1% from the seller is the norm; a single broker representing both collects 2% in total. Builder-sold units pay the broker from the builder's side instead.
